Descrizione
La Lagerstroemia indica L. famiglia Lythraceae, viene utilizzata per abbellire i viali. Ma non è solo bella, è commestibile e ricchissima di fitocomplessi utili per aiutare chi soffre di sindrome metabolica.
Le analisi biochimiche hanno rivelato infatti la presenza di alcaloidi, glicosidi cardiaci, tannini, saponine, steroli, triterpeni, antrachinoni, composti riducenti, flavonoidi (flavanoni/diidroflavonoli e calconi) e glicosidi fenolici (strosidi A-C). Lagerstroemia indica ha mostrato effetti antinfiammatori, analgesici, antipiretici, antiossidanti, antitumorali, antimicrobici, anti-Alzheimer, antidiabetici, epatoprotettivi e trombolitici.

Le analisi biochimiche hanno rivelato infatti la presenza di alcaloidi, glicosidi cardiaci, tannini, saponine, steroli, triterpeni, antrachinoni, composti riducenti, flavonoidi (flavanoni/diidroflavonoli e calconi) e glicosidi fenolici (strosidi A-C).
